Tnx w/ train tour ?, u convinced me to do it. What about the Wild Africa Trek??? Is it very expensive, thinking it may be. Plus is 10 to young? Thanks again :)

    Hi Adelle!

Thanks for sending me another question!

The Wild Africa Trek is an incredible experience.  I was lucky to be able to go on one of the first treks last year, and I loved every minute of it.  However, it is definitely expensive.  The price is normally $189, but the price can go up to $249 per person during peak season.  Keep in mind though that Disney can change these prices at any time.

The trek lasts about 3 hours and the minimum age is 8 years old.  I think a 10 year old would definitely love it.  There's nothing like being attached to a lifeline and leaning out over a cliff overlooking hippos or alligators!  If you do go on the trek, I suggest going on the very first one.  I think the atmosphere is better before the park gets very crowded.  That's especially true because the first part of the trek takes place in a part of Disney's Animal Kingdom accessible to park visitors, though you do spend the majority of your time on the trek in what is normally considered backstage.

The trip concludes with a snack at a private boma on the safari.  The building provides a wonderful view of the animals and I found the food to be absolutely delicious!  I'm definitely looking forward to do this experience again soon!

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
