We have tix for MNSSHP for Sept. 23. We are going to relax at the pool 1st part of the day, nervous about missing some party activities if we try to go on rides. Is the party in one particular area or all over? What time r frwks? Thnx for all the gr8 tips!

I think that one of the benefits of attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is the ability to take advantage of far shorter waits for the attractions.  You should be able to catch all the festivities and have plenty of time left over for experiencing the attractions!

The party takes place throughout the Magic Kingdom.  Upon entrance you'll be given a map that will show you where to go to join in on all the events.  You'll find trick-or-treating stations scattered all over.  In the past these have been marked with lit-up Goofy's Candy Co. balloons and are easy to find.  There have also been dance parties with Suzie and Perla in Fantasyland.  I've seen photo opportunities with costumed Pooh characters in Fantasyland as well.  In fact, we've been lucky enough to get photos of many of the more rare characters during the parties.  The villains are out in full force and we saw all seven dwarves together in Fantasyland.

The highlight of the party, in my opinion, is the parade and fireworks show.  I don't usually recommend viewing either from Main Street because I like to avoid crowds.  If there is any time to make an exception though, the Halloween Party is the time.  The lighting effects that are displayed on the castle are fun and festive and worth the extra time spent waiting for a prime viewing spot.  The schedule for the parties hasn't been released but in the past fireworks have been displayed at 9:30.  Have a hauntingly good time!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
