Hi Karina!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can't wait for you to set sail to "The Last Frontier" with Captain Mickey at the helm! The first time we cruised to Alaska I remember being so blown away by the beauty and grandeur of each port of call. It was different than any of the Caribbean or Bahamian voyages we had sailed on previously. We loved it so much, we booked a second voyage to Alaska two years later!
I'm happy to share some tips for your upcoming Alaskan adventure! First, check out the
Packing List for Disney Cruises when you have a moment! Think about bringing a couple sweatshirts, jeans and a waterproof jacket along with you - you'll want to dress in layers! You'll have the opportunity to experience the most amazing Port Adventures during this itinerary! I highly recommend checking out the
Best Of Juneau as well as one of the dog sledding excursions. One of my favorite things about visiting each port of call is how accessible the towns are from where the ship docks. You will either be within walking distance or a short shuttle ride right to the heart of the towns where you'll find restaurants, shopping and historic culture!
Typically, there isn't a Pirate Night during the Alaskan Cruise. Due to environmental reasons, fireworks are not allowed. In place of Pirate Night, we had a Frozen-themed Deck Party called, "Freezing the Night Away." It was amazing! Once you arrive onboard, you'll see all the activities planned for the day and night listed on your Personal Navigator newsletter.
I'm so excited for your upcoming adventure of a lifetime! I can't wait for you to experience sitting on deck while slowly sailing through the Tracy Arm Fjord! Please sail back and visit us with any future questions.
