Tips for travelling with a 2 year old? We’ve only ever come as a couple so this is all new to us! Can we rent a pram on-site? We are staying at the All-Star Movie Resort.

    Welcome, Carina!

I recently took my 2-year-old to the Most Magical Place on Earth and I am happy to share all of my tips and tricks with you.

First, I have to say that you will be shocked at just how much joy your little one gets out of the experience. They will love experiencing their first ride, seeing their favorite characters in real life, and if your little one is anything like mine, they will not be able to get enough Mickey-shaped snacks! I think my 2-year-old could have stayed long past when mommy, daddy, and big brother were ready to head back and get some rest.

Carina, you can rent a pram once you arrive. Prams are available to rent in each of the four theme parks, as well as at Disney Springs. However, these prams may not leave the theme parks.

Because there can be quite a bit of walking involved at your resort as well as from the bus station to the theme park entrance, I recommend that you rent a stroller through a third-party provider.

You will find no shortage of stroller providers in the Orlando area through an internet search but I recommend ScooterBug. ScooterBug is the Disney Featured Provider, meaning that they are the only company able to drop off your rental at Bell Services at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. This way, you do not have to coordinate pick-up on your arrival day.

When we travel with our little one in the summer we find that taking a mid-day break to head back to our resort while our little one naps really helps. This not only gives your little one a break from the heat but gives mommy and daddy a chance to rest as well.

If the weather is mild, we like to try and get our kids to nap in the stroller while we relax and enjoy some adult beverages, take turns riding something that our little ones are not tall enough for, or enjoy one of the fabulous EPCOT festivals

Speaking of height requirements, your little one is welcome to ride any ride that they meet the height requirement for or anything without a height requirement. If you want to brave the Tower of Terror or head to outer space on Space Mountain, you can take advantage of the Rider Switch Service.

Rider Switch Service allows one party to stand in line for an attraction while the other waits behind with the little one. After the first party returns, the second party can proceed to the attraction through the FastPass+ line. Simply ask a Cast Member at the entrance of the ride to set this up for you.

I hope that this helped, Carina! Please come back here if we can answer any other questions for you.

    See you real soon!
