Any tips or suggestions for securing dining reservations fir a family group of 14?

    Hiya Jon,

Welcome to planDisney! There is never a wrong time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, but it is especially magical during the holidays. Be sure to check out EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays - Candlelight Processional during your visit! One of my favorite narrators, Neil Patrick Harris, will be telling the tale of Christmas, and there is a reason he is a fan favorite!

Questions about dining are my absolute favorite! Making dining reservations can be a bit of a logistical puzzle, but hopefully, I can help you make reservations for your group of 14. For this reason, I suggest calling a Cast Member to help make reservations for your group. If your party were smaller, I would recommend making the reservations online or through the My Disney Experience mobile app; however, Cast Members can generally help larger groups. You will need to have dates, approximate times, and dining locations in mind before you call 407-939-7529, however, so that it is easier for the Cast Member to help you. They can then “split” your party into smaller groups and get you reservations for either the same dining time or within 15 minutes of each other. Once you and your group arrive at the first reservation, you can request that your entire party be seated together. There is no guarantee, but if they can accommodate that, they will do so. Another option, of course, is to elect two other individuals in your party to make reservations along with you. Sometimes wait times to speak to a Cast Member are not ideal, so doing it yourself would be quicker. You and the two other Guests could divide and conquer by making reservations for the same place and time for groups of 4 or 5. This would help you to have a greater chance of securing reservations for everyone more easily. Once your reservations were made for the smaller groups, you would just need to ask for your group to be seated together when you arrived (again no guarantees they can do so).

I hope that was helpful, Jon and that you enjoy being “Our Guest” at Walt Disney World Resort!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
