Hi there! Any tips for solo travelers? It's on my bucket list and I wonder if there are any budget-friendly tips (since I won't split the cost with anyone) but also fun tips! Thank you!

Hello, and welcome to planDisney, Julie!

Solo travel to Walt Disney World Resort is nothing short of incredible! As a fellow Ontarian Guest, I have completed quite a few trips to meet up with friends, and after I became used to not looking over my shoulder for my family, or worrying about them being hungry, or thirsty, or needing a restroom break, I quickly found my pace to putter about and do exactly what I wanted - it was so wonderful!

Julie, I hope you consider staying at a value categoryDisney Resorts Collection Hotel to enjoy many benefits and conveniences, such as saving money with complimentary Resort-wide transportation to and from the theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs and much more! As a Guest at a Disney Resort Hotel you will be able to save and pre-purchase a MagicBand or MagicBand+ device which will enable you to enter a theme park with linked admission, unlock your Guest Room door, charge purchases to your Guest Room account and much more! When you pre-purchase your MagicBand or MagicBand+ device it will be presented to you upon your arrival at the Front Desk because they are not currently shipped to International countries such as Canada.

Solo travel enables the odd splurge, such as a dining experience at a Walt Disney World Resort - Signature Restaurant, or a few hours of pampering at a Walt Disney World Resort - Spas and Health Club. If you time your visit just right, you could sip and savour the tastes of the world from a kiosk at a seasonal festival at EPCOT - I always purchase a Festival-Inspired Disney Gift Card to save me from continuously dipping into my pocketbook and to keep me on my budgetary track! I find that many Quick-Service venues offer a variety of bountiful healthful options and many meals on the children's menu often satisfy my hunger. Don't forget your refillable water bottle, as many refillable water bottle stations are mushrooming throughout the theme parks. As well, at many Quick-Service locations, Cast Members will happily offer water upon request.

Download the My Disney Experience App which can also help you manage your budget by being able to access your Guest Room account, not to mention the helpful features which add convenience during your visit.

Julie, have a look at the current Walt Disney World Resort - Special Offers, Deals & Discounts which offer huge savings. You can also access these offers on the main page of your Disney account website beneath the Places to Stay tab. It's a good idea to update your profile to then receive applicable offers and other Disney-related updates.

It was such a pleasure offering my advice today, Julie, and I look forward to helping you plan your magical getaway to Walt Disney World Resort, feel free to stop by planDisney to ask me any more questions!

    Best Disney Wishes!
    Jacqueline
