Hi there, Elaine!
Ahoy and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I so glad you sailed by with your question about what I hope is a quickly approaching Disney Cruise Line vacation! If you have one booked already, make sure you have the
Navigator app downloaded and watch the countdown to your adventure at sea tick down…I love seeing which Disney-themed emoji will be making its appearance each day!
The Cast Members onboard each of the Disney Cruise Line ships work so incredibly hard to ensure that each and every Guest has the best experience possible while onboard. And, while so much is already
included with your reservation, this does not include onboard gratuities for your stateroom host or hostess and your dining room team which includes your head server, your main server and an assistant server. Once onboard, you will quickly meet these fantastic Cast Members and they will be with you for the duration of your voyage doing everything they possibly can to make your vacation as magical and memorable as possible. While gratuities are completely at your discretion, there is a
recommended gratuity amount that will be automatically charged to your stateroom folio, unless you stop by Guest Services to make changes. For any beverage purchases made onboard at one of the lounges, restaurants or bars, an automatic gratuity will be added to your bill. Additionally, any spa services are also subject to an automatic gratuity.
Guests can opt to prepay the recommended gratuities by contacting Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 before getting onboard. If you choose to do this, I would recommend doing this at least three days prior to your voyage and there really isn't any advantage to doing this aside from having a slightly less bill at the end of your voyage!
Elaine, I know you are going to have the most magical adventure and I can be certain that you will find the Cast Members as a huge part of that! We always enjoy meeting the Cast Members, learning about their families and their experiences with
Disney Cruise Line and are always sad when our voyage comes to an end! I hope that you find the same experience on your upcoming adventure!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
