How are tips distributed on Disney Cruises?

    Hi, Marjorie!

It is customary to give gratuities in recognition of service, and as a guideline, Disney Cruise Line suggests the following per guest, per cruise based on 3-, 4- and 7-night cruises respectively:

    Dining Room Server -- $12.00 $16.00 $28.00
    Dining Room Asst. Server -- $9.00 $12.00 $21.00
    Dining Room Head Server -- $3.00 $4.00 $7.00
    Stateroom Host/Hostess -- $12.00 $16.00 $28.00
    Dining Manager --  Your Discretion
Room Service -- Your Discretion (Bring small bills to tip per order at the time of delivery.)
Palo and Remy -- Gratuity included
Vista Spa & Salon -- Your Discretion
    Nursery -- Gratuity not expected
Shore Excursions -- Optional; not included in shore excursion price; presented at the conclusion

Before you ever sail, you will have the option to prepay your gratuities for your server, assistant server, head server and stateroom host/ess using your shipboard account, or you can wait until the last evening and charge your shipboard account. If your gratuities are prepaid, you will receive a receipt with the envelopes provided by your stateroom host/ess, and you can present each envelope at dinner on your last evening or at breakfast on Debarkation Day.

If you did not prepay your gratuities, you'll need to make arrangements through Guest Services on the last evening. The lines get pretty long on the last night...so, I recommend handling it sooner in your vacation.

I hope that helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
