Greetings Kaysea!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Although your trip is still a few months away, I'm so thrilled you have already started to prepare. For me, planning is almost as much fun as the vacation itself! I think the first week of December is a fantastic time to visit the Disneyland Resort.
You will get to start off the
holidays with a seasonal feast for the senses. In Disneyland Park you can't miss the mesmerizing transformations of Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle and "it's a small world," the festive garland on Main Street, U.S.A., and the delicious holiday treats found throughout the park. Over in Disney California Adventure Park, you must see Radiator Springs decked out for the holidays in Cars Land. Even some of the attractions here are in the spirit like Luigi's Joy to the Whirl and Mater's Jingle Jamboree. Also located in Disney California Adventure Park is the
Disney Festival of the Holidays where you can feast, dance, and discover diverse holiday traditions.
My favorite piece of advice for this week is to keep an eye out on the
Disney Parks Blog for locations and times where you may get a hand-pulled Candy Cane during your visit. This is a lesser-known Disneyland holiday tradition since 1968, and supplies are extremely limited so it may mean waking up early to ensure you get your sweet treat!
Please return if you have any other questions, and happy planning!
