? about tips on the DDP. Is it easiest to charge tips to our room? Could we use credit cards or Disney gift cards (as well as cash) no matter when we pay? Do we get a receipt each time if charged to room so we're not surprised by amount at end of trip?

    Hi Mary!

You'll be happy to know that paying your gratuities when on the dining plan is very simple. At the end of your meal your server will bring you a slip showing the cost. On the slip are suggested gratuities for 18% and 20%, along with a space to write in your tip. If you plan to charge the tip your room, just write in the amount on the line and give your server your Key to the World card. He or she will deduct your dining credits from the card and charge the tip. You will have two slips to sign - one that shows how many credits you redeemed and one for your room charge. You will also be provided with copies of both to keep for your records.

If you would like to use another credit card or gift card, write the amount of tip on the line and let your server know that you would like it charged to a different card and not the room. If you prefer to leave cash, just write cash on the line.

If at any time you would like to check your room charges, you can visit the front desk at your resort and they will print you off a list of everything that has been charged to your room. They can also print you off a sheet showing how many meal and snack credits you have remaining. On your last morning, you will get a list of charges delivered to your room which you can check over for any discrepancies before checking out.

Parties of 6 or more people automatically get the 18% gratuity applied to their bill. You can pay this however you'd like as well. Just let your server know.

I hope this helps! Have a fantastic vacation!
