Any tips for celebrating my son's 18th birthday? We will be at Disneyland park on 11/2 and have reservations at Goofy's Kitchen in the morning.

    Hiya, Candace!

Yay! Celebrating birthdays at the Disneyland Resort is the best! I agree that starting the day off at Goofy’s Kitchen is a wonderful way to kick off a magical day! We also happened to celebrate our son’s 18th birthday at the Disneyland Resort. I’d be happy to share some recommendations based on our experience.

Of course, you’ll want to request a complimentary “Happy Birthday” button. Cast Members at the Disneyland Hotel will be happy to conjure one up for your son. Then, I recommend thinking about the Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel characters that most resonate with your son. Our son loves both Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So we spent our birthday celebration time seeking out experiences with his favorite characters. That included the Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off! with Star-Lord and Gamora in Avengers Campus. For an extra-special souvenir, our son positively loved building his own custom lightsaber at Savi's Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. When you find those special experiences and characters that speak to your son’s heart, you are bound to make the most magical memories to last a lifetime.

I hope you have a wonderful time at the Disneyland Resort, Candace. I wish your son a magical and happy birthday. And may you have a merry unbirthday yourself!

    T-T-F-N! Ta ta, for now!
