Also, do you have any tips on how to beat the heat?

    Hi Kyla,

Welcome back to the Moms Panel! We're glad you're hEAR! Summer is typically a hot season so you're smart to plan ahead to beat the heat.  Here are some tips:

    * Go early - you'll miss the huge crowds & it will be a little cooler - if you're staying on property you can take advantage of morning Extra Magic Hours.
    * Visit the parks later in the evening when things start to cool off.  Take advantage of evening Extra Magic Hours.
    * Buy a Frogg Togg Chilly Pad (available at most sporting goods stores) to keep around your neck/head - cut in 1/2 to get double the use.
    * Buy a misty fan - available in the parks if you don't already have one.
    * Take a hand held or clip on fan - be sure to bring extra batteries.
    * Use a visor instead of a hat.
    * Visit attractions that keep you inside longer. The Hall of Presidents, Carousel of Progress, PeopleMover, "it's a small world" & Pirates of the Caribbean are great examples at the Magic Kingdom (let me know if you'd like suggestions at the other parks).
    * Take a break from the parks & go back to your resort for a swim when it gets really hot.
    * Visit one of the two fabulous water parks.
    * Visit DisneyQuest during the day.
    * Wear light colored clothing made of breathable material.
    * Drink LOTS of water. Even before you head out to the parks, start drinking so that your body is better prepared to cool itself.
    * Freeze water bottles to take to the parks with you. You are also welcome to bring a cooler into the parks as long as it is not larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high.
    * Pay attention to your body.  If you start feeling faint, get out of the sun and contact a Cast Member if you need assistance. There are First Aid Stations located in every park if you need help.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
