How does tipping work with the Disney Dining Plan?

    Hi Mario!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I always enjoy using the Disney Dining Plan, for the convenience, flexibility and for the great savings across the Resort.  The Disney Dining Plan offers, per guest, per night of stay, one Table-Service meal, one Quick-Service meal, two Snacks and a Refillable Resort Mug which can be refilled with fountain sodas, coffee, tea and hot chocolate at the beverage stations at any Disney Resort hotel. Other Disney Dining Plans are available, and you can see all options here. The Disney Dining Plans are available to use from time of check-in at your Resort hotel (if you check-in online, your Dining Plan can be used from 7.00am on your arrival day), until midnight on your day of departure. Gratuities are generally not included, unless you are using your dining plan for Private In-Room Dining or Pizza Delivery.  At a restaurant you will be given your receipt, and on that will be a suggested gratuity of both 18% and 20%, but it is entirely your choice as to how much you want to add as a tip for the server who has been looking after you for that dining experience. You can also choose how you wish to pay for that, by cash, credit card, or make a room charge using your MagicBand.  Disney Gift Cards  can also be used to pay the balance on any dining receipt.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
