Tipping: we are visiting Disney World Resport in early May 201t. We generally do not tip in Australia - can youi provide general guidance on tipping at the resort. Is it common to tip general service providers eg lifeguards who provide service at no cost?

Hi Chris, Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!

It is customary to tip the Magical Express Bus Driver (generally $1-$2 per bag for assisting with your luggage), Bell Services at the Resort (for bringing your luggage to the room and back down at the end of your stay), Mousekeeping (Housekeepers) who clean your room each day (just a small daily acknowledgment is fine or larger tip upon check-out) and Servers at Table Service restaurants or bars. Some of the Deluxe Resorts have Cocktail Servers who bring drinks for purchase to you at your lounge chair. Tip them $1-$2 per drink. Lifeguards, Greeters (door holders), desk clerks, etc are not expecting to receive a tip.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation! Please let us know if we can assist you further,
