Welcome aboard planDisney! Room Service is one of my favorite included perks when cruising with Disney. Whether it's breakfast on the verandah, a late-night snack after the evening show, or satisfying a sudden craving for Mickey ice cream bars, it's hard to beat having your food delivered right to your stateroom.
When it comes to gratuities, there aren't any official tipping guidelines for
Room Service. Gratuities are completely at your discretion. As a general rule, I typically recommend $1 to $2 per item, but you're welcome to adjust that based on the size of your order and the service you receive.
My crew has definitely made Room Service part of our cruise tradition. If buffalo wings are on the menu, there's a good chance they're headed to our stateroom! Meanwhile, my kids never seem to pass up the chance to order chocolate chip cookies or Mickey ice cream bars. Because of that, I always pack a stack of $1 and $5 bills before we leave home so I'm ready whenever those snack requests inevitably arrive.
If you forget to bring smaller bills, no worries! Just stop by
Guest Services after you board and they'll be happy to exchange larger bills for smaller denominations. I usually do this early in the cruise because those smaller bills come in handy throughout the voyage, whether it's for Room Service,
Port Adventure guides, motorcoach drivers, or anyone else you'd like to thank for making your vacation even more magical.
