Tipping on the dining plan is throwing me off, how do you tip? I have read where 18% is automatically included, but that just doesn't make sense to me! Help! any information will be appreciated!

    Hi Diana:

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  When using the Disney Dining Plan gratuity is not included at table Service Restaurants, unless you are a party of 6 or more guests.  When you receive your cheque, there will be several suggestions in terms of the amount for your gratuity, based on your total bill.  You are free to leave whatever you choose, however 18% is suggested.  I truly feel that the service provided by the Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort is worth 18%, but again, that is your choice.  Gratuity can be paid by cash, credit card, using Disney Gift Cards or using your MagicBand.  As I mentioned earlier, if you have a party of 6 or more, an 18% gratuity will be automatically added to your cheque.

One other thing:  If you are dining at Cinderella's Royal table or if your party is attending a dinner show such as the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Mickey's Backyard BBQ or Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, gratuities are included with your package.

I hope that helps to clarify the gratuity charges when using the Disney Dining Plan Diana.  If you have any other questions, please visit me again, I would love to hear from you!
