Hello Edward and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where it's our pleasure to assist you in planning towards a visit to Walt Disney World Resort that is utterly supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
As a parent of 4 children and full-time housewife one my greatest joys of taking a trip to Walt Disney World Resort is the luxury of housekeeping, or as I like to call it -
Mousekeeping!
And because I appreciate everything Mouskeeping does to make sure my vacations are somewhat housework-free I like to leave them daily tips to the value of a couple of dollars per person staying in the room (the dollar value is dependant on if my family have been super messy or unusually tidy!); the gratuity is left somewhere obvious in the room (like on the side table) in handmade Mousekeeping envelopes which I've brought with me from home.
I believe leaving tips in these clearly marked envelopes makes it super easy for Mouskeeping to know the gratuity is for them and I know from past experience that Mouskeepers both enjoy and appreciate the effort Guests have made to thank them for their efforts.
If crafting envelopes isn't your style then I would say leaving a cash tip on the side table with perhaps a note simply saying
Thank you! would also work just fine.
It may also be helpful to know more about gratuities when using the Disney Dining Plan by checking out this

Wishing you a more than magical upcoming visit to
Walt Disney World Resort.
