Do you tip extra on the last night of the cruise

Ahoy, Stephen! Welcome to planDisney. Sounds like you’re headed on a magical voyage, and I love that you’re thinking through the details. The crew members on your Disney Cruise will take exceptional care of you during your trip, and gratuities are a great way to show your appreciation.

For gratuities, Disney Cruise Line recommends $16.00 per night, per stateroom Guest, including infants and children, or $27.25 USD per night, per Concierge stateroom guest. A set of envelopes will be delivered to your stateroom containing a slip of paper showing the amount provided to each crew member assigned to you for the entire voyage. That’s usually the two servers and head server that wait on you at all rotational dining, and your stateroom host. These tips can be prepaid or added to your onboard account, and you can easily go to guest services during your cruise to make adjustments as needed. You can hand these envelopes to each crew member in person to show your gratitude, though they will get the tips whether you hand them to them or not. While we always receive exceptional service, on our last cruise, we got to know one of your servers pretty well, and wanted to show our gratitude for his exceptional care by leaving a larger tip, along with a note to express our thanks.

So, to answer your question directly, guests don’t necessarily tip extra on the last night; they usually wait until then to deliver the tips for the entire cruise. You can tip extra if you’d like to, but it is not mandatory.

Stephen, I hope your cruise is full of magical memories. If you have any other planning questions, planDisney is here for you.

I hope you have a magical day.
