Welcome back to planDisney, Lurleen! Thanks for sailing our way again.
It won't be long before you step aboard the
Disney Wonder and set sail with Captains Minnie and Mickey. Let's get you shipshape and ready for your adventure. When you vacation with Disney Cruise Line, it is customary to give
gratuities as a recognition of the incredible service you experience while onboard. If you have not paid for your gratuities in advance, they will be added to your onboard account which will be settled by your chosen payment method.
Gratuities are charged per person and in a set amount per night of your sailing. You are always welcome to add additional gratuity if you so choose, but that is not expected. Gratuities are distributed between your dining room server, dining room assistant server, dining room head server, and your stateroom host. You will not be expected to provide additional tips beyond the gratuities charged to your onboard account (or paid in advance if you opted to pre-pay) for the Crew Members in these roles.
Outside of the customary gratuities, there are a handful of times when a tip is either included in the charge or based on your discretion. If you think you will order complimentary
room service while on the ship, it is customary to tip the Crew Member who delivers your food to your stateroom. There will be a slip so that you can write in a tip amount to be charged to your onboard account. I usually tip one to two dollars per item delivered. If you'll be visiting a bar, lounge, or spa, please note that an 18 percent gratuity is automatically added to all bar, beverage, wine, deck service tabs, and spa services. All gratuities can be charged to your onboard account for your convenience.
I can't wait for you to experience the world-class service that the Crew Members are ready and waiting to share with you in just a few days. It's my wish that your time onboard leaves you feeling pampered.
Have a magical time!
