Hi Brandon!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for sending this Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR!
I cannot tell you how dreamy it sounds right now to imagine spending a delightful Disney day sitting in the shade listening to the
Casey's Corner Pianist tickle the ivories to the tune of some of the most beloved Disney melodies. On a recent visit to Mickey's house I took some much needed me time to do just this, and the pianist played the most moving rendition of 'Feed the Birds' from Marry Poppins. I'm almost tearing up right now thinking just how perfect that moment was!
There are some
Entertainment options that you can set your watch to as they happen at the same time every day, like the daily
3 O'Clock Parade. However, some schedules depend on several factors like the time of year or even the day of the week, and this act is one of them. Typically there are anywhere between six to a dozen ragtime piano performances a day, usually kicking off around the time the park opens in the morning and ending around dinner time. In my experience these 20 minutes sets are more evenly spaced in the afternoon (eg: on the hour, every hour), but the morning shows could be anywhere between 45 to 90 minutes apart. Schedules for entertainment like this are usually available up to 30 days in advance of the date of your visit, so definitely check your
My Disney Experience App in the weeks and days leading up to your visit.
Bonus Tips:
~
Casey's Corner participates in
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering, which NOW accepts Disney Gift Cards, so make sure your app is up to date!
~ If you love piano music, definitely check out the musical stylings of
Yehaa Bob Jackson at River Roost at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or the dueling pianos and sing-a-longs at
Jellyrolls.
~ And just for fun, here's a wonderful
Disney Parks Blog interview with Jim Omohundro, who played piano at in Magic Kingdom Park for more than 30 years!
I hope this helped to add a bit of music and magic to your day, Brandon. And if you have any more Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
