Jambo, Michele!
Welcome Home and Asante Sana (thank means "thank you" in Swahili) for trekking by with your question. How exciting that you are taking advantage of one of the best perks of Membership - the
Moonlight Magic events! With exclusive access to your favorite attractions with lower wait times, character access, special entertainment and treats that make you roar, these events sure add so much value to Membership!
Michele, I checked with Disney Vacation Club who noted that, unfortunately, they do not have access to the start times of the Moonlight Magic events. However, registrants should receive an email - usually shortly before the date of the event - which will outline the details, including the start time and "mix-in" time. A "mix-in" time is the time you will be able to enter
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park prior to the event without needing a theme park ticket. If you enter the park prior to that time, you will need a theme park ticket and reservation (if required with your ticket type.)
The start times can vary, depending on the theme park hours on that date. Theme park hours do change throughout the year, so while the event in October began at 7:00 p.m. and ended at 10:00 p.m., the February event may or may not begin at that same time. But it can at least give you an idea of the length of the event. Also, I checked the
park calendar for February 12th and it appears Animal Kingdom closes to Guests at 6:00 p.m., so I would expect the event to begin shortly thereafter, though this is subject to change.
I did check with my fellow planDisney Panelists, though, to see if they have any additional information. One of my fellow panelists checked with a family member who is also attending this event, but she has not yet received the start time either. So, good news! It should still be coming.
I'm sorry I don't have any more details yet (Mickey keeps some things close to his fancy vest.) But the information should be coming soon. Keep an eye on your email, as this is where the information will be sent.
If you have any more Disney Vacation Club questions, come back here to see me. I'll be right here, working on my roar.
Magically Yours,
Keri
