We have been 3 times in the last 6 years and are heading down again in 2 months to Florida, my question, I have always seen families on the parade floats, and wondering how you get lucky enough to be chosen to ride on the float? Is there any trick to it?

    Hi Ellen!

I love your enthusiasm for visiting Disney World! I'm always looking for an excuse to head to Disney.

Typically, Guests are chosen at random to open parks or be in parades. There are times when they may have a Celebrity VIP in the park that they ask to be the Grand Marshall for the parades but usually its Guests that were lucky enough to be showered in pixie dust.

There really isn't a trick to it but if you want to increase your chances of being selected I would plan to arrive at the turnstiles super early. Show your enthusiasm by wearing ears or matching shirts. Smile big and be talkative and friendly to the Cast Members. In other words, draw some attention (in a positive way) to yourself.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
