Hi Colleen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you are going on a Disney Cruise Line vacation and I know you must be too!
Oh, my goodness…the onboard Youth Clubs might just be one of my FAVORITE things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation! Seriously, I am so thankful for the Youth Clubs because my two young boys LOVE spending time there, and I am more than happy to oblige in allowing them that fun! Most evenings we find ourselves luring, errr bribing, them out of there with a chocolate chip cookie! The
Youth Clubs’ hours vary by day, but they stay open late, allowing the grown-ups to enjoy some of the adult-exclusive spaces onboard! There is no charge for the Youth Clubs unless you have one of the littlest Guests that will be visiting the “it’s a small world” nursery! onboard.
Disney Cruise Line does not offer in-room babysitters, and while I am a mom who keeps a strict bedtime while at home, I have found that letting my guys stay up a little later has its advantages! They are usually so tired once we get them from the Oceaneer Club or Lab that they have no problem falling asleep once we get back to our stateroom.
Previously, when my boys were younger, and I knew our bedtime couldn’t be extended, we would plan accordingly. If there was a
live show we knew we didn’t want to miss, we would forgo our seated dinner in the main dining room, instead getting dinner from Cabanas or Room Service and catch the earlier showtime!
Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure at sea! Please come back with any other planning questions you have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
