Hey Howdy Hey Rick and welcome back to planDisney!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is such a great selection when it comes to booking a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. So close to all the action, but from the resort, seems so far away! There is so much to enjoy at Fort Wilderness like
Tri-Circle-D-Ranch. What a great way to experience the grounds of Fort Wilderness while on horseback! One of the many benefits you will also have when staying onsite at a
Disney Resort Collection hotel is
Disney Resort Transportation. With Resort Transporation, you can easily travel to many destinations across the resort with many different options. Thank you for your question on getting to EPCOT for
Early Theme Park Entry, let's review how to get there on time.
In general, YES, you will be able to take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom Resort area to EPCOT. The catch is you need to get to the Transporation and Ticket Center in the parking lot area of Magic Kingdom. At this hub, you can take the ferry from here to Magic Kingdom as well as the monorail to Magic Kingdom, the Magic Kingdom Resorts or EPCOT. So your big goal would be to get here.
From Fort Wilderness, you should be able to hop on a boat that would take you to Magic Kingdom. From there, you can either hop on the ferry or the monorail, either the Express or Resort Monorails, to get to the Transporation and Ticket Center. Follow the directions to get to the EPCOT monorail and you should be all set.
As far as timing goes, Resort Transporation begins operation 1 hour before the parks open. This includes Early Theme Park Entry so you should be able to access transportation at 7:30 a.m. if Early Theme Park Entry hours start at 8:30 a.m.
Since you will be heading to EPCOT in July, if you are into thrill rides, I would highly recommend looking into
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This attraction will be open for the virtual queue or
Individual Lightning Lane purchases only. So be sure to get either of these options to be sure to experience an immersive thrill ride like no other!
Best wishes on your continued planning for your upcoming trip and let us know if you have any other questions, we would be happy to help!
Happy planning,
Nick
