1st timers-3 kids-8, 5 & 3 -coming for 1 or 2 days to the MK. Kids really want to see characters. Should we waste time in line or find the money to do character dining w/ my picky eaters? Should we spend 2 days @ MK or do another park? If so which one?

    Hi, Cassie!
Thanks for checking in with the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited you have a chance to give your kids their first experience at Walt Disney World Resort!

Character meetings are SO much fun, but I completely agree that you can save a lot of time by enjoying character meals. My kids' favorite experience meeting the characters is at Chef Mickey's. Your kids will get to meet Mickey and friends during their meal, spend a little time with each one, take pictures with your camera and even get signatures if you bring an autograph book. The meal is a huge buffet and even my pickiest eater loved what was offered. I would also recommend setting up at least one FastPass+ reservation with a specific Disney Princess if there's one your kids really want to meet.

When considering visiting one or two parks in the days you are visiting Disney World, I would just consider if there are extra characters or experiences you know your kids would really love. If you have animal lovers, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is worth the time. If you have Star Wars fans, you should bring the kids to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I hope that helps with your planning! Have an unforgettable adventure. Please feel free to drop back here at the panel and let me know if you have any additional questions!
