    1st timer deciding betw'n staying @ Polynesian vs Contemporary. Looking for convenience to character dining (Chef Mickey's @ Contemporary), parks, & ability to see fireworks from my resort like at Polynesian. Polynesian is $650 more. Suggestions/advi

    Hi Heather!

    I have to say, our last vacation was spent at Disney's Contemporary Resort, and it was picture perfect!  We had a spectacular view of Magic Kingdom, and the convenience can't be beat!  Here's the trick we use:  we take the walking path TO Magic Kingdom, as it's just a short walk, and then on the way back, we hop on the monorail, because Disney's Contemporary Resort is the FIRST stop from Magic Kingdom!  You can't beat that, especially at the end of the day when little (and maybe not-so-little) legs are tired!

    My kids also LOVE Disney's Contemporary Resort for the cool factor!  Nothing beats the monorail going through the resort!!
