What time of year is it best to visit Walt Disneyworld's animal kingdom park? We will be there the week of 20 Feb 2023.

Hey there, Robert, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question! In my opinion, whatever time of the year you find yourself at The Walt Disney World Resort is the best time to be there! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park also happens to be my favorite Theme Park, so I may have a small amount of bias in my response.

Robert, February is historically one of the best times to visit the Theme Parks. It falls right after the Holiday season rush and just before the Spring Break crowds! This slight lull month brings nice glimpses of spring, slightly longer days, and lower crowds to the resorts. Those sound like three perfect reasons to plan a February Disney Vacation! February is also one of my favorite times to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park because I feel like the animals are more active due to the pleasant temperatures. I’m not a fan of the summer heat, so Disney in the summer is usually not my first choice. And the winter months bring shorter operating hours to Animal Kingdom Park. But spring and fall are historically really nice times to visit. All in all, it sounds like you made the perfect choice to me!

I hope this helps, Robert! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, please stop back by and let me know!
