what time of year is the best to go to walt disney in orlando, a time where the crowds are less?

    Hi Vicki,

Generally, the best time to visit is when schools are in session.  When schools have breaks are when the crowds become larger.  I also think that visiting when the weather is more mild makes the trips more enjoyable.  My favorite time to visit is over the holidays when the parks and resorts are extra-magical with their holiday decorations.  Lighter crowds can be found the week that follows Thanksgiving through the first few weeks of December.

If the heat doesn't bother you, the week following Labor Day Weekend can also be a great time to visit for small crowds.  During September and October, you can also possibly participate in Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival.

I also find that May can be another time to visit with smaller crowds since spring breaks have wrapped up, and most schools are still in session.  Another bonus of visiting then is the chance to explore Epcot's International Flower and Garden Festival.
