Hi, Bob! Thank you for bringing us another great question! To draw as much magic as possible from your day at Magic Kingdom Park, you will definitely want to arrive early. The crowds are usually much lower the first couple of hours that the park is open, compared to the remainder of the day. Also, the weather in June is quite warm, so arriving early means you can get more done before the hottest part of the day begins.
In my experience, the Magic Kingdom parking lot opens at least an hour and a half to two hours before the park itself opens. Please be aware that it will take a good bit of time to actually reach the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park! You will have to take a tram or walk to the Transportation & Ticket Center, where you will go through a security checkpoint and either board a water ferry or monorail. The later you arrive, I worry that you could wind up at security longer than you would like.
Bob, be sure to look over the
posted park hours before purchasing your Disney Theme Park Ticket. If you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I recommend you choose a day to visit when the park is not hosting morning
Extra Magic Hours. It would be such a shame to arrive early, but actually have a longer wait at attractions once you are able to enter! Also, be sure to purchase your tickets in advance so that you can make three
FastPass+ selections. This will help you minimize your waits and add more magic to your day. Once you use your initial three, hop on the My Disney Experience mobile app to make another!
I hope these tips help you plan your pixie-dusted adventure! Please stop by again if you have other questions.
