    1st time WDW trip. Would like to make early breakfast res. at Boma before heading out to a park for the day. Would you suggest AK or BB for the day(BB opens later)? What time would you suggest for res. for both options and travel time from POR? thx!

    I think Blizzard Beach would be the better option here, Kim.  While my family can easily cover Animal Kingdom in a half day, it's imperative that you arrive at rope drop.  Since your (yummy!) Boma breakfast will prevent you from doing so, I'd recommend using that day for Blizzard Beach and saving Animal Kingdom for a day when you can devote an early morning arrival.  Travel time from Port Orleans Riverside to Animal Kingdom is about twenty-five minutes.  The trip to Blizzard Beach is slightly less than that--plan for twenty minutes.  I hope that helps!
