1st time WDW trip. I have booked POR, but if free dining is not offered I will need to change plans due to budget. Would you suggest value resort/dining plan or POR and no dining plan considering budget and disney experience which way would be best? 10 nts

That's a tough question, Kim, but I think that you are probably better off going with the value resort and a dining plan.  My reason for that is that dining in Disney's fantastic restaurants is part of the overall experience.  If you'd have to skip that in favor of upgrading your resort, you'd be missing out on a lot.  And when it comes right down to it, you probably won't be spending a ton of time in your resort room.  With that in mind, it seems reasonable to make due with a resort that might not be up to theming standards with Port Orleans Riverside.  If I had to be the one making the decision, I'd go value with the dining plan.  But I'll hold out hope for you that free dining is indeed offered and you get the best of both worlds!
