Hi Hilary! While Magic Kingdom is a must-see at Disney World, all of the parks are great! I have two boys that are now 11 and 8. Their favorite park is
Epcot. They love the attractions: Soarin, Test Track, Spaceship Earth and Living with the Land. They also love all of the cool things you can do at the
Innoventions pavilions (their favorite is "The Sum of All Thrills" - you design a roller coaster and ride it "virtually"). The exhibits in "Innoventions" are always changing, so check out the website prior to your trip. The World Showcase pavilion has two boat rides, great food and also some
Kidcot Fun Stops for crafts and passport signings at each country.
Disney's Animal Kingdom is a great park too. There are lots of rides and of course, you get to see animals, which most kids love! This park usually closes earlier than the others, so take note of park times listed in the weekly times guide. Last, but definitely not least,
Disney's Hollywood Studios is also a great park. With smaller children, there aren't as many rides for your age bracket, but there is a can't-miss ride called there called
Toy Story Mania.
I recommend browsing the
Disney World website, you can filter attractions at each park by age. Look around and see which park offers more of what your kids are interested in. Or best yet, visit all 4 parks and THEN decide which is your favorite! Our favorite park is usually whichever one we are at that day!
