This is our 1st time to WDW!!!! We are so excited!!! I was wondering, if we eat @ Mickey's Backyard BBQ @ 6:30 will we have enough time to get back to Magic Kingdom for the Main Street Electric Parade @ 9:00????

    Hi Jennifer!
How awesome!! I feel so excited for you and I'm not even going! :)
First of all, let me say, you and your family are really going to enjoy Mickey's Backyard BBQ! It is a blast for the kids, and the food is quite good for a buffet.
Now, to your question...I think it is a safe bet that you should be able to get to Magic Kingdom for the MEP (parade), but you may need to leave a bit early if the BBQ is still going on. Then again, after an hour and a half of eating and dancing, it may not be so painful to leave. You will be able to catch a boat from Fort Wilderness (where the BBQ is) over to the Magic Kingdom, and the boat dock is right in front of the Main Entrance. It is about a 5-8 minute walk from the BBQ to the boat dock, so keep that in mind. Also, be aware of the BBQ end time and make sure you leave ahead of the masses or the boat dock can get a bit of a line.
I hope this helps and I wish you and your family a Magical 1st trip!! :)
