1st time visitor this Sept. Am I reading correctly that with the DDP only a child age 3-9 can get an appetizer with a table service meal? If this is correct, are there actually appetizers on kids menus? Thanks!

    Hi Mary,

You must be so excited for your first trip to Disney!

You are reading it correctly.  On the dining plan children (3-9) are entitled to an "appetizer" at table service restaurants.  Believe me when I say it's not something that the entire table can share.  The appetizer usually consists of a choice between a small bowl of soup or carrot & celery sticks.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
