Ahoy there, Samantha! Welcome aboard planDisney!
Ah, a pre-cruise stay at Walt Disney World Resort before a cruise. Is there anything more magical? My family loves doing the same thing and arranging
Ground Transportation through Disney Cruise Line - and making all our other Disney friends jealous that we technically get something akin to the now retired Disney's Magical Express to get us to
Port Canaveral from our resort!
When it comes to the timing of your pickup from the resort, you should receive information about the exact timing when you check in! I'd suggest stopping by the front desk to talk with a Cast Member if you don't already have information in your room waiting for you when you arrive, or if you are arriving later in the day.
In my experience, since
Walt Disney World Resort is roughly 90 minutes from Port Canaveral and Disney Cruise Line requests all Guests arrive by 2:45 p.m, there's a fair amount of time to make it to Port Canaveral. That said, I'd anticipate your transportation to depart closer to 9:30 a.m. - but this is always subject to change, so whatever the official word you hear from Captain Minnie is, goes!
Your Port Arrival Time was pre-set based on the fact that you are coming from a pre-cruise stay, so that won't change - and since you're on official Disney Cruise Line transportation, even if you arrive late or early to that 11 a.m. scheduled arrival, you will be right on time in the eyes of the crew members!
I hope that helps smooth out your sailing, Samantha! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as your countdown drops into the single digits, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Bon Voyage!
Andrew
