Hiya, Elizabeth! Welcome to planDisney!
Your visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner, so let’s jump right into your question!
I’m happy to report that
Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation begins operating 30 minutes prior to when Magic Kingdom Park opens and stops one hour after Magic Kingdom Park closes. Please note that I checked the
Hours & Events Calendar on the Walt Disney World Resort website for the Magic Kingdom operating hours on March 19.
Early Entry is set to begin at 8:30 AM, and park hours are scheduled for 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
This means that you can expect the Monorail to begin operating right around 8:00 AM on March 19. This will give you plenty of time to get to the park and go through security, so that you can take full advantage of Early Entry access! Note that park hours are subject to change, so it’s best practice to double check the evening before you intend to visit the park.
The only areas open for Early Entry at this time are Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Main Street, U.S.A. Meanwhile, Liberty Square, Frontierland, and Adventureland open when the park officially opens to all Guests for the day. My personal Early Entry strategy is to head straight for
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It routinely has long waits throughout the day. If you can cross it off early in the day, that’s a big win in my opinion!
Your trip lines up with the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, Elizabeth! I highly recommend checking out everything the festival has to offer. You’ll see intricate Disney character topiaries, wonderful garden displays, and a large variety of eats and sips available at the Outdoor Kitchens throughout the park. If I may make a suggestion, the Yacht Grub Outdoor Kitchen has the Trio of Dips and Chips. These are house-made potato chips served with feta and candied lemon dip, a caramelized onion dip with caviar, and a pimento cheese dip with pickles. It’s a delicious dish!
I hope this helps, Elizabeth! If you have any other questions as you continue planning your visit, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at
planDisney. We’re always eager to help!
See you real soon!
