Hi Marie,
Welcome to planDisney!
Your sense of independence is impressive - it reminds me of a Disney Princess I adore, Tiana! Honestly, I have not seen rates quite that low in some time, especially at the time of year you plan to visit. There are, however,
Special Offers that are released throughout the year. My first piece of advice would be to keep checking the Special Offers to see if one is released that fits your budget.
Given how long you plan to stay, I would also suggest that you consider becoming a member of the
Annual Passholder family. If you purchase the
Disney Incredi-Pass, there are currently no blockout dates so you could visit the theme parks on any day of your visit. Just remember to make
theme park reservations if those are still required for Annual Passholders at the time of your visit. If you do get an Annual Pass, there are occasional
Special Offers for Annual Passholders that give discounts on rooms. Looking at your dates, there looks to be a current Special Offer that is applicable to at least some of those dates.
I am a current an Annual Passholder and also love the discounts on
select merchandise, dining, and experiences. Given the length of your stay, you may also want to order a few grocery items to be delivered, keeping in mind that the mini-fridge you may have access to in the room is not a full-sized refrigerator. Plan ahead though because there is a delivery fee so you want to make the most of each delivery. In the past, my family has ordered from Garden Grocer. Also, be sure to review the
Guest Health Care Services Presented by AdventHealth. Inevitably, on one or two trips in the past, one of us needed to be treated for something, so we had to find an urgent care nearby. Although I trust all will be well on your trip, I am delighted that these new services are offered by AdventHealth!
Marie, start pricing out rooms now so that you can get a sense of the best possible prices with currently available Special Offers. Consider joining the Annual Passholder family and make your reservation. I could not help but notice that you are visiting during my absolute favorite time of year to visit - The
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. If you can, make an
advanced dining reservation for the Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog to know when those dining packages are released. We love the earliest show because, if the weather is chilly, we can catch the show and then get back to the resort before the temperature becomes too cold for us. If you do get the dining package, remember to still get to the show early to get a good seat! I hope everything works out!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
