Welcome to planDisney, Michael!
You've asked a great question about
Walt Disney World Resort Transportation. Knowing how to utilize this convenient service is key to enjoying all of the magic and none of the traffic stress!
In general,
Walt Disney World Resort hotel bus service begins about 45 minutes to an hour prior to park open and runs until about an hour after park close. There may be earlier buses for guests with early morning dining reservations, too, so check with a Cast Member at your hotel if you need something earlier. Don't forget that there may be
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort hotel guests, so those transportation start times will be at least 30 minutes earlier; that 9:00 Magic Kingdom park open is actually 8:30 for guests at participating resorts. What a perk!
If you're parking at the Transportation & Ticketing Center (TTC) or traveling from a Disney hotel that's adjacent to the
monorail, you'll be able to take a monorail to Magic Kingdom as well. Those typically run along the same hours as resort buses--Early Theme Park Hours included.
We often hop onto a
Disney water launch from the TTC if we'd like an easy, breezy start to our day, so check to see if the ferry is at the dock upon your arrival. Those usually start shuttling guests at least 30 minutes prior to Early Theme Park Hours. It's such a fun way to get to Magic Kingdom, setting up the day for beautiful, unique experiences, for sure.
As you plan your visit, Michael, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
