Welcome back to planDisney, Kenneth!
It’s great to see you returning to The Most Magical Place on Earth to embark on a tour. Enchanting Extras, like tours of the Resort, are a great way to see Walt Disney World in a different light. I am more than happy to share with you what I know about making sure that your visit is everything that you hope it to be!
I still have a long list of tours that I want to take on at my Happy Place, Walt Disney World Resort. I can’t hardly wait to explore the savanna during an upcoming
Wild Africa Trek tour at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Regardless if you want to take on the wild side like my family or if you simply want to learn more about the history of the theme parks, there is a tour for what you’re looking for.
If you’re staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can book tours, like
Keys to the Kingdom,
Behind the Seeds, and the
Starlight Safari, once the 60-days-prior-to-arrival window opens (plus up to 10 days of your vacation). Not staying on property? You can book day-by-day up to 60 days before you arrive. I have used the Walt Disney World Resort website and the My Disney Experience App to book these experiences. By the way, sometimes I find that these
Enchanting Extras open up as early as midnight (in comparison to the advance dining reservations that open later in the morning).
AN EXTRA GEM: You can book a private
Disney VIP Tour up to 180 days in advance of your trip. This is something that I’ve never done; however, it is one of the best ways to jump from experience to experience without waiting in longer queues and to get a private tour with a personal guide.
Kenneth, I hope that this helps. If you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions, revisit us here at planDisney.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
