Hi, Hilary!
There is something so magical about an
Alaskan cruise! It has been a few years since my family sailed to Alaska (I was on the Disney Wonder) but we all still talk about what an incredible experience it was. The wildlife, the scenery, and the surprises that are never ending in Alaska (keep your eyes out for a friendly whale swimming by, a beautiful bear out in the wild, or an eagle nesting in a tree). A cruise to Alaska is definitely the trip of a lifetime.
So how to remember this wonderful cruise? Well, Disney Cruise Line merchandise of course! Shops should open around 6:00pm, once you have sailed away from port. Check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for exact times. Guest Services will also be able to give you hours so feel free to stop by to chat with them for any information needed while onboard. Hopefully you will find the perfect items to remind you of your magical cruise.
When
packing for Alaska, you will need a bit of everything. Weather changes quickly, so planning to dress in layers is the way to go. Don't forget hoodies or light jackets, hiking boots or shoes, rain gear, and a backpack or tote bag to take on Port Adventures. You might even have some warm, sunny days so pack a pair of shorts and even your swimsuit in case you want to hop in the pool or in the hot tub.
While on your cruise, you will be stopping at some amazing Ports of Call. For the best selection of excursions and times, plan ahead by booking your
Port Adventures once you are paid in full and within your booking window. If you prefer, you can visit the
Port Adventures desk on Deck 3 once onboard.
Enjoy your sailing on the
Disney Magic. This is the original ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. There is something very special about this ship and crew, so have fun making magical memories. Bon Voyage!
