At the time my son is sick and can barley get out of bed, he has a fever, and cant keep food down. Our vaccation is October 3rd. If he is still sick on Sunday can I cancel and what is the policy? We do have the vaccation insurance

    Hi Stacee!

I'm so sorry to hear your son is ill.  Unfortunately, it is going around.  If it is the bug than went through our house a couple of weeks ago, it only lasts about 24 hours, which is good--hopefully you all will be well enough to travel on Sunday.

Depending on where you purchased the vacation insurance, there are different types of coverage--I'm going to assume that you purchased your through Walt Disney Travel Company (WDTC) when you booked your vacation.  These policies do cover cancellation/interruption due to illness.  if you purchased your policy through Walt Disney Travel Company but not your flights (if you are flying), then you'll have to work with the airlines to get credit back.  If your flights were booked as a package through WDTC, then they will be covered as well as your vacation.  You can find more information here

I'd suggest contacting them as soon as you feel comfortable.  Vacation insurance is a great investment.  Especially in cases like yours.

I really hope your little one is feeling better and I hope you'll be able to take your vacation!
