Hi Kenton! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
It sounds like we have a similar approach to a perfect park day: arrive as soon as you can! I find you can get so much done in the first few hours of exploring the park, checking off a couple of must-experience Attractions before grabbing a quick breakfast. Knowing when to arrive can help make that plan a reality.
Typically, security opens an hour before the parks. Check the
Daily Events Schedule for details such as park hours, showtimes, and entertainment details. It's a great place to start plotting out your day! Details are subject to change, but you can keep up to date during the day in the
Disneyland mobile app, your handy tool for your park day.
Depending on the weather, you might head back to your
Disneyland Resort Hotel for a dip in the pool or a quick nap in the afternoon, ready and recharged for all the magic of nighttime in the parks. We like to book a
dining reservation, where we can rest our feet, chat about what we've enjoyed most throughout the day, and refuel. Then, we're ready for fireworks or other fun!
Also, don't forget to check out the current
Park Rules, including what can and can't safely enter the parks. Being prepared will speed along the security process and help prevent you from having to take something back to your hotel room or car.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
