Mornings at
Animal Kingdom are such a treat. The air feels different as those morning sunrays touch all the foliage and transport you to a faraway jungle.
Kilimanjaro Safaris is often my first attraction while it's still cool and the animals are super active.
The safari trucks are ready to fill up with Guests and roll out at regularly scheduled opening time. That means if the park is participating in
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests, you would need to wait 30 minutes for the official park opening to have your excursion with the animals. For example, Animal Kingdom participated in Early Entry today and opened at 7:30 AM. You would have entered and either chose to spend that time knocking out another attraction like
Avatar Flight of Passage or
Expedition Everest off the list, or headed back towards Africa to wait for Kilimanjaro Safaris to start queueing up Guests.
Pro-tip: I'd definitely try to get in line for Avatar Flight of Passage first if I were there right at the start of Early Entry. Those wait times start climbing pretty fast once the park opens.
