Hi there Gemma, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question, I'm thrilled to help! Can you believe your trip to
Walt Disney World Resort is almost here? You are sure to make awesome memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
"Rope drop" refers to the official opening time of the park when guests are first allowed to enter and access attractions. Arriving early for rope drop is a popular strategy to experience attractions with shorter wait times. As a guest staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, you have the benefit of
Early Theme Park Entry. This allows you to enter any of the four theme parks 30 minutes before the general public every day regardless of special ticketed events such as Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Early Theme Park Entry is reserved for Disney Resort guests only. Plan to arrive at the park entrance at least 45 minutes to an hour before the official park opening time. This gives you enough time to get through security and be ready for the early entry. Once you’ve entered the park, cast members will guide you towards specific areas or attractions that are open for early entry. Not all areas of the park may be open right away, so follow the signs and directions from cast members to make the most of your early access.
Quick tip - Decide in advance which attractions you want to head to first. Popular attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at
Magic Kingdom Park or Avatar Flight of Passage at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park can have long waits later in the day.
By arriving early and taking advantage of the Early Theme Park Entry, you’ll be able to start your day ahead of the crowds and enjoy some of the park’s most popular attractions with shorter wait times!
I hope this information helps you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Gemma! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Enjoy your magical morning at Disney World!
