What time can I make reservations when it says 180 days out, right after midnight, or no? Do I have to have our park tickets purchased before I make dining reservations?

    Hi Shelby,

With everything from character dining to dinner shows to cuisines that will please any palate, there are so many fantastic choices when it comes to dining at the Walt Disney World Resort! Have fun thinking through all of your delicious options!

Your dining reservation planning window will open at 6:00 a.m. Eastern time 180 days in advance. Some restaurants, however, do start showing availability around 5:45 a.m., so you might want to log on a little earlier! If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you'll have the added benefit of being able to make your dining reservations for the entire length of your stay, up to 10 days, at that 180-day point. I'm happy to share that you won't need to have theme park tickets purchased and linked to your account yet, but you will need them to access any restaurants that are located within the theme parks once you arrive.

I'd definitely make sure to purchase your theme park tickets a few months before your trip, though, because your next big planning window will open up 30-60 days beforehand when it's time to make your FastPass+ selections. Valid theme park tickets do need to be linked to your My Disney Experience account to make those. If you have a Disney Resort hotel reservation, you'll be able to make FastPass+ plans beginning at 7:00 a.m. Eastern time 60 days in advance for the entire length of your stay, up to 14 days. If you're staying elsewhere, you'll be able to log on at 7:00 a.m. Eastern time 30 days in advance and make your FastPass+ selections one day at a time.

I'm sending some pixie dust that you'll be able to find the perfect dining reservations and FastPass+ selections for your trip, Shelby! Please feel free to come back and see us again if we can help with anything else along the way. I hope that you have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation!
