What time would you recommend finding a spot for IllumiNations at Epcot? Is there a place other then the showcase plaza that might be less crowded to watch from? Thanks so much!

Greetings, Tara! IllumiNations has been one of my favorite nighttime spectaculars since I first saw it in 2000. The soundtrack and score still gives me goosebumps when I hear it!

The World Showcase Lagoon is SO enormous, I’ve never had a problem catching a viewing spot unless I was late for it. My favorite viewing spots are in China, America and if you can manage a spot, the patio of La Cantina de San Angel. Grab a frozen margarita with a pomegranate floater to enjoy as the great Earth sculpture comes floating into view! If you’d like to try and watch from Future World, there is a place between the two Friendship boat launches that you can stand, though my favorite views are always in the World Showcase.

I typically start making my way towards my viewing spot 20 minutes before the show is to begin. Make sure you check start times for the week of your visit. I hope you have a WORLD of fun on your vacation! ~ Lindsey P.
