How much time should I plan to spend in each of the country pavilions at Epcot? I've got two 11-year-old girls.

    Hi Keira,

I have a 12-year-old daughter who thoroughly enjoys an afternoon wandering the World Showcase of Epcot. In fact, we just returned from a visit to Walt Disney World and she asked to do this more than once!

How much time you plan to spend in each pavilion depends on what you think your girls will want to do. There is unique shopping available in each pavilion from the host country. We enjoy browsing the stores. There are food options in each country, ranging from kiosks to quick-service to table service. Some country pavilions offer films such as Impressions de France in the France pavilion, while others have attractions such as Frozen Ever After in the Norway pavilion. There are also performing acts in certain countries that sing or otherwise entertain, and simply wandering the amazing and immersive architecture of the pavilions is fun. All of that said, there is still more available in the World Showcase! Depending on time of year, you might find yourself at Epcot during the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, Flower and Garden Festival, or Food and Wine Festival!

Overall there are 11 country pavilions in the World Showcase. I would say if you give yourself an average of 30 to 45 minutes per pavilion, that would be a good estimate. Essentially, I recommend that you allow yourself a long afternoon to experience this wonderful area!

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Keira! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
