How much time should we plan for the ride/drive from Animal Kingdom to Fort Wilderness Resort if we are attending the Hoop De Doo dinner? We have a party of 8 and considering Minivan service- will we all fit?

    Hi Jessica!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I thoroughly recommend using the Disney Minnie Van Service.  I love seeing these distinctive vans driving around the Resort, and they offer a very efficient door-to-door service.  Driven by knowledgeable and friendly Disney Cast Members, these vans can be ordered by using the Lyft app on your smartphone, where you can also see the cost of using this service, and make your payment.  These vans can accommodate up to 6 Guests (including 2 child seats if required) so your party of 8 has too many Guests for one van.  There is a complimentary bus service from Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to all the Disney Resort hotels, including Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  You could also take a bus to Magic Kingdom Park and then a short boat ride to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, as Pioneer Hall (where Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue takes place) is located very close to the boat dock.  Here is an interactive map so you can find your way around Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, just click on it to zoom in.  It is recommended that you allow 60-90 minutes travelling time from a theme park to a Disney Resort hotel - it just depends on whether your bus is waiting for you, or if you have to wait 20 minutes for the next one to arrive.  Also, it is suggested that you arrive at your Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue reservation 30 minutes before the doors open.  If you are travelling by car it will be much quicker, but I would allow at least 30-40 minutes travelling/parking time.

You can also order regular Lyft cars using the same app on your smartphone, and if you have any questions about the Disney Minnie Van Service you can call (407) 828-3500.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
