Hi Michael!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
There is something very special about walking into a Walt Disney World theme park first thing in the morning, and seeing everything coming to life for the day. I think it's the most magical time to be there! You also have the best chance of taking some great photos of your family, without anyone inadvertently walking into the background of your picture.
Magic Kingdom Park is especially wonderful, with the
Let The Magic Begin opening ceremony taking place in front of Cinderella Castle, and I can totally understand why you would want to enjoy this with members of your family who haven't seen it before. This five-minute ceremony will take place five minutes prior to park opening times -
see the calendar here. If
Extra Magic Hours are being offered to Disney Resort hotel Guests (where extra hours are available exclusively to Disney Resort hotel Guests either before park opening, or after park closing), Let the Magic Begin will start five minutes before regular opening times. So, if the park is open between 8.00-9.00am for Disney Resort hotel Guests, and then opens for all other Guests at 9.00am, the ceremony will start at 8.55am.
It's worth noting if you wish to see the opening ceremony, you can enter Magic Kingdom Park up to an hour before the park officially opens. Take this time to enjoy Main Street USA, enjoy as many photo opportunities as you can, and - my favourite thing - visit
Main Street Bakery for a coffee to enjoy somewhere with a good view of Cinderella Castle!
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
