What time can off site guests book lightning late reservations? Is it the same as Disney resort guests (7am), or is it at park opening?

    Debbie,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

There are two kinds of Lightning Lane options, those that are Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions, and the Individual Lightning Lane attractions. All guests, regardless of where they are staying, can start booking Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations starting at 7 am, local time. However, when it comes to the Individual Lightning Lane attractions, guests at select Disney Resorts can start booking those at 7 am, while all other guests can start booking at park opening.

So, what hotel guests can take advantage of that earlier time for the Individual Lightning Lane reservations? Well, it would apply to guests staying at Disney Resort hotels and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green.

    BONUS TIP
Be sure to check right before your trip what attractions fall into each category. Why? Sometimes Disney will bump an attraction from the Individual Lightning Lane group to the Genie+ Lightning Lane group. They did so with a few attractions during much of 2022, including

There is no guarantee what rides will be in which category, so check before your trip so you know what rides fall in which category.

Write me back if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
